The USMMA KP Alumni - Chesapeake Chapter and the Long Branch Rifle Association, Inc. have presented 3 Shooting Sports Programs thus far in 2011.  We are currently planning our fourth Shooting Sports event, likely to be scheduled on Saturday October 22, 2011.
Please provide your vote for the venue of the next Shooting Sports Program, again, likely to be scheduled on Saturday October 22, 2011.
Also note that we will host no more than 12 USMMA Midshipmen at this scheduled event.

KP Chesapeake - Premium Shotgun Raffle 080611 – SUMMARY REPORT

The USMMA KP Chesapeake Chapter provided a Premium Grade Shotgun Raffle to support our USMMA Regimental Drill & Ceremonies Team.  The Raffle Drawing was held, in conjunction with our 5th Annual Summer Shotgun Tournament.

130 attendees – including 68 Midshipman guests!  Our best attendance to date!

All Raffle Proceeds were provided to the USMMA Regimental Rifle Drill Team - M1 Garand Drill Rifle Refurbish Project.

Congratulations Gerard F. Whalen - Garden City, New York! The Winning Ticket was sold by KP Chesapeake Member - Bob Comegys '77.

Raffle Proceeds To Benefit USMMA Regimental Drill Team -Total: $ 5,500.00!

KP Chesapeake Shotgun Tournament - SUMMARY REPORT

This 5th KP Chesapeake Annual Summer Shotgun Tournament drew our best Shooting Sports Event attendance to date, with over 130 registered competitors!  Our attendees included 68 Kings Point Midshipmen, invited as guests of our KP Chesapeake Chapter!  All USMMA Midshipmen were invited as our guests at NO $ CHARGE!  We also welcomed our Special Midshipmen Guests – the USMMA Regimental Drill Team.
We also enjoyed the participation of 10 KP Chesapeake Midshipman Parent Members.

The KP Chesapeake Chapter was pleased to host our best attended Maritime Dinner Program to date!  Over 200 KP Alumni, Midshipmen, NJROTC Cadets, Parents and Maritime Industry Guests joined together for an enjoyable evening of fellowship, a delicious meal and and engaging speaker.  We hosted over 50 attendees – as our guests – representing the Administration & Educational Staff of the Baltimore Maritime Industries Academy & NJROTC Cadets!  We welcomed our USMMA Midshipmen representing USMMA Student Port of the Propeller Club & USMMA Regimental Honor Guard!  Our Special guests included Captain Mark P. O'Malley, USCG, Captain of The Port of Baltimore, David T. Matsuda - Maritime Administrator, Deputy Maritime Administrator Orlando Gotay.  The United States Merchant Marine Academy was represented by <>RADM Philip Greene JR (KP ’78), USMS – Superintendent, USMMA.  Additionally, we are delighted with the attendance of RADM Mark H. Buzby (KP ’79), USN – Commander, Military Sealift Command, VADM Albert Herberger (KP ’55), USN (Ret.)  and RADM Kevin Cook, USCG – USCG HQ Director Prevention Policy.  The Leadership of the KP Alumni-Chapter Presidents Alliance and the USMMA Alumni Foundation were also present.  The USMMA Alumni MARITIME POLICY 2011-12 presentation package was made available to all interested parties as we provided this “Tell America About Kings Point, and the U.S. Merchant Marine!”
