The USMMA KP Alumni - Chesapeake Chapter features a unique opportunity, on 5 occasions per year, for our KP Alumni and USMMA Midshipmen to “share” Shooting Sports Events. These events include our Spring Shotgun Tournament, Rifle Tournament, Pistol Tournament, Summer Shotgun Tournament and our Fall Upland Game – Pheasant Hunt. These events provide a practical firearms handling opportunity for our Midshipmen, as well as an enjoyable Competitive Shooting Sports event. These events also generate financial support for the USMMA Shooting Sports Team programs – Rifle and Pistol. The USMMA KP Chesapeake Chapter is pleased to host a Premium Grade Shotgun Raffle! The USMMA Regimental Drill & Ceremonies Team needs our HELP! This Team of Midshipmen is the pride of the Academy, presenting the Ceremonial Colors and competing in Collegiate Drill Team events representing Kings Point. All of the Presentation and Drill Rifles are in desperate need of refurbishing. Many of these Rifles are unusable, lest for the support of duct tape! All Raffle Proceeds will be provided to the USMMA Regimental Rifle Drill Team - M1 Garand Drill Rifle Refurbish Project.
Any and all supporters are welcome to participate in this raffle. The Shotgun Raffle Drawing will be held in conjunction with our KP Chesapeake Shotgun Tournament Competition!

Comments Received: Subject: Trap & Skeet Tournament was an outstanding event! Hello Gary and Joanne, Wanted to provide some feedback from Joe and his friends, and Nancy and I on the tournament...it was super. AAA+ rating! Food was great, activities were the best. Nancy and I marvel at your ability to handle a large crowd and produce an orderly outcome. I have new respect for the alums in the Chapter, they really did turn-to and make the event into a wonderful experience for the visiting Midshipmen. My back was giving me some grief that day so I didn't push for a spot on the line. Charlie, our dog, also had a wonderfully exhausting time, we can tell because he slept all day on Sunday! Nancy and I thoroughly enjoyed being with the Chapter, thank you for making us feel so welcome. On another subject, thanks also for clarifying the Parents Association letter. You make perfect sense. This selection of the largest upland game bird will maximize the opportunity for the success of our hunting party members! This hunting preserve provides upland game hunting as it used to be in the “good old days”. We have experienced such a high level of interest in our hunt, that we have changed our format to a European Style Pheasant Shoot. This will allow for a greater number of hunters to participate, increase the amount of shooting per hunter, and provide for a safe, fast-paced, action shooting experience! The KP Chesapeake Hunters will assemble at the Hunting Lodge no later than 7:45AM for our Field Breakfast, Orientation, Licenses, Shotguns, and Ammo. Our Half -Day Hunt will commence at 8:00AM and conclude at 11:00AM, with luncheon provided thereafter. Weather is not an issue, except in the case of a downpour. KP Chesapeake and LBRA are providing this as a Deluxe Hunt, featuring twice the number of Pheasants per hunter as offered in previous year hunts!
Our KP Chesapeake Hunt Package includes EVERYTHING that you will require for an enjoyable and successful hunt - Guide and Dog Service, Game Preserve Field Use, Half-Day Pheasant Hunt, Customary Gratuity (for the dog!), Bird Cleaning & packaging provided for $1/bird. Each hunter must provide: Maryland DNR Hunting License, including Federal Waterfowl Stamps, 12GA Steel Ammunition (#2 or BB Recommended), Customary Gratuity for the Guide. Hunters are encouraged to wear comfortable, layered clothing, and to bring a light, quick handling shotgun. LBRA will provide shotguns upon advance request if needed.
