KP Chessie Shooting Sports Events
The USMMA KP Alumni – Chesapeake Chapter invites all KP Chesapeake, LBRA, & IWLA members, families and guests to participate in our Annual Shooting Sports Events. These tournaments provide a great opportunity for all seasoned and novice shooters alike to enjoy a quality firearms shooting program in a safe and controlled atmosphere. Our events are presented as NRA Shooting Sports Competition Camp and USA Shooting Shotgun programs. We thank the Long Branch Rifle Association, Inc. for their proficient operation of these events!
The tournament & firing range instruction is conducted by NRA Certified Training Counselors, Firearms Instructors & Range Safety Officers. All tournament participants should be aware that, per LBRA Standard Operating Procedures, LBRA matches at IWLA & LRS&T are conducted according to our documented STRICT SAFETY GUIDELINES.

Exit 77 Interstate 95 (Bel Air Exit) and merge onto MD Rte 24 toward Bel Air. Travel 1000 feet and merge RIGHT onto MD Rte 924. Travel 600 feet up the hill to the traffic light. Woodsdale Rd. intersects and begins at the traffic light on MD Rte 924 and the Constant Friendship Shopping Center (Weis Market, Gabrielle Brothers etc.) within sight of MD Rte 24 and the I-95 interchange. As you turn at the traffic light onto Woodsdale Rd. you proceed past the WAWA look for the green and yellow IWLA sign on the right side of the road. Our Fourth Annual KP Chesapeake Pheasant Hunt & Luncheon will be will be conducted as a Half-Day Pheasant Hunt. This selection of the largest upland game bird will maximize the opportunity for the success of our hunting party members! This hunting preserve provides upland game hunting as it used to be in the “good old days”. We have experienced such a high level of interest in our hunt, that we have changed our format to a European Style Pheasant Shoot. This will allow for a greater number of hunters to participate, increase the amount of shooting per hunter, and provide for a safe, fast-paced, action shooting experience!
The KP Chesapeake Hunters will assemble at the Hunting Lodge no later than 7:45AM for our Field Breakfast, Orientation, Licenses, Shotguns, and Ammo. Our Half -Day Hunt will commence at 8:00AM and conclude at 11:00AM, with luncheon provided thereafter. Weather is not an issue, except in the case of a downpour. KP Chesapeake and LBRA are providing this as a Deluxe Hunt, featuring twice the number of Pheasants per hunter as offered in previous year hunts!
Our KP Chesapeake Hunt Package includes EVERYTHING that you will require for an enjoyable and successful hunt - Guide and Dog Service, Game Preserve Field Use, Half-Day Pheasant Hunt, Customary Gratuity (for the dog!), Bird Cleaning & packaging provided for $1/bird. Field Breakfast – Donuts and Coffee, Shotguns Available from LBRA if needed (must request in advance), Shells (shot size: 4 & 6), Maryland DNR One-Day Hunting License, Field Luncheon Catered by Buontempo Brothers – KP Chessie Member Richard Lynch, includes: Subs, Chips, Drinks and our Fourth Annual Hunt Cake!

Our KP Chesapeake Hunting Party will meet at Harrison’s Chesapeake House Country Inn on Friday November 16, 2012, check in, and enjoy Old Fashioned Accommodations and a Superb Maryland Chesapeake Bay Seafood Dinner. The dining room is serving until 8:30PM. Our Hunt Breakfast is served on Saturday morning at 5:00AM, and we board our boats by 5:45AM. A box lunch is included for our hunt.
Our KP Chesapeake Complete Waterfowl Hunting Package includes: Overnight accommodations at Harrison’s Chesapeake House Country Inn Friday 111811 (Double occupancy) and Maryland Chesapeake Bay Seafood Dinner, Breakfast & boxed lunch on Saturday 111811, Hunting boat and Guide. Each hunter must provide: Maryland DNR Hunting License, including Federal Waterfowl Stamps, 12GA Steel Ammunition (#2 or BB Recommended), Customary Gratuity for the Guide. Hunters are encouraged to wear comfortable, layered clothing, and to bring a light, quick handling shotgun. LBRA will provide shotguns upon advance request if needed.
