Greetings Fellow Council Members-
The existing 51 USMMA Alumni Chapters now have the distinction of representing our memberships on the *newly formed* USMMAAF – Chapter Presidents Council! This council was created by a resolution passed during the Chapter Presidents Meeting held at our Spring USMMA Alumni Foundation Meetings at Kings Point onApril 10, 2008.
Further, we are pleased to note that a Resolution to Establish a Chapter Presidents’ Council with USMMAAF Board Representationwas approved, as the CPC Resolution Approved by USMMA Foundation Board onMay 20, 2008. This resolution provided for the CPC as a Committee of the USMMA Alumni Foundation and also provided for the Chapter Presidents Council to seat 7 members on the Alumni Foundation Board Of Directors – with one vote – as the voice of the entire Alumni! We applaud the vision of our Foundation Board of Directors for engaging the Alumni in our joint mission progress.
We are eager for the support and cooperation of every one of the existing 51 USMMAAF Chapters as we move forward with the progress of this vital council. We have a great opportunity and a wonderful vehicle to provide fulfillment of our alumni chapter(s) mission.
Each Chapter President shall represent his Chapter at the meetings of the USMMAAF Chapter Presidents Council. Each Chapter President will have an equal vote on policy matters of the council.
This organization should be of the elected Chapter Presidents and by the elected Chapter Presidents as they represent all individual alumni members! The organization should be run by elected Chapter Presidents- those alumni who are “invested” in the well-being of their chapters and have been entrusted with the responsibility to act on behalf of their constituent alumni members.
We are eager to employ the efficiencies of a “Regional Approach” to this implementation. CPC Members are encouraged to join & work with their Regional Vice Chairmen as we move forward. Please welcome the *newly* elected leadership of the Chapter Presidents Council - supporting our mission!
